I took a number of photos of a small section outside one wing of the former DeWitt Military Hospital (WWII) in Auburn, CA. The hospital served several Army bases in Northern California and Nevada for about 2 years. A section of the hospital was used as a prisoner of war camp. After the war, it was converted into a state mental hospital and later transferred control to Placer County. It sits mostly empty and neglected as a part of the greater DeWitt County Government Center.

@Soheil: Thank you very much, Soheil. :)
@maximage: Thanks Maximage. I was really surprised to find these buildings in such an untouched state for so long. The colors of the aged paint are great. I've got another that I haven't posted yet that shows a brilliant green on the underside of the peeling paint.
@Francisco Romero: Thank you Francisco. I was drawn to these doors primarily by the peeling paint and was happy to be able to show it rising from the surface so dramatically.
@Riccardo: Thank you Riccardo. :)
@rem_la: Yes, left behind by time.
@Graciel.la (Vic, Catalonia): Thank you Graciel. Yes, it is sad there. A lot of history that is now forgotten.
@Philou04: Thank you, Philou :)
